As usual, the majority of vendors in IT won't tell you what they cost without a sales call. What's not how things should be, in my opinion. I hope the info my team gathered on pricing and contracts will help you avoid pointless sales calls.
The vendors below are ranked by their average rating on several listings.
TL;DR
- Ranking leader. OpenFrame averages 4.55, but's a new product. NinjaOne has 4.00 and 5,036 reviews.
- Only published price. OpenFrame at $1 per device per month; the other eight are quote-based or self-hosted.
- Zabbix and Pandora FMS have no patching and no remote control.

1. OpenFrame
OpenFrame is $1 per device per month, $0.80 billed yearly. That single line covers RMM, remote access, patching, PSA, SIEM, secure remote access for SOC work, MDM and documentation with password management. At 100 endpoints that's $1,200 a year against $3,600 to $7,200 for the quote-based platforms in this table.
It runs its own RMM, agent to dashboard. That's a change worth noting if you read about OpenFrame a year ago, when the RMM layer was built on TacticalRMM; the team replaced it to own the agent and the data pipeline, and wrote up the reasoning in OpenFrame Now Runs Its Own RMM. Multi-tenancy is native, the API is REST, and there's a self-host option alongside the SaaS.
The AI agents are the part that differs most from everything else on this list. Fae handles support requests and closes them; Mingo runs operations tasks on demand. They sit inside the platform rather than as an assistant bolted to the side, and the formula is the same team getting more done, not fewer techs.
Consolidation is the part that shows up on the invoice. What changes the work is what each step already knows when it starts. Conrad Lunderstedt at Flamingo frames it this way: the platform tracks every step of every ticket in the context of that problem, in real time, and against every other problem open at the same time.
The difference is easiest to see step by step. A stitched stack runs six tools with five handoffs between them, and the problem context stops at every seam and gets rebuilt from memory: the alert fires with no owner attached, the PSA opens a ticket while the alert detail stays behind in the RMM, priority is set without the history to set it against, and the doc you search is out of date. On one system those six tools collapse into five steps and none of them starts from a blank page, because every step carries the full history of the ones before it.
The re-check is the part worth pausing on. Before a change goes in, the platform reads live state again, and if the machine moved since the ticket was written, the ticket and the doc rewrite themselves. That's the case for buying the RMM and the PSA from the same place rather than integrating two good ones: an integration moves records between systems, it doesn't hand the second system the reasoning from the first, which is why the doc is stale and the time goes unbilled even when every tool in the chain works.

What it doesn't have yet: a decade of third-party integrations, a mobile app in general availability, or the script library depth of ConnectWise. Gen1 covers large areas of its eight module categories rather than the whole of any one, and a technical buyer should check the specific ones they depend on. 2. Zabbix
Zabbix holds 4.3 on G2 across 209 reviews and 3.9 on Trustpilot across three. It's built by Zabbix SIA in Riga, Latvia, and it monitors agent-based and agentless over SNMP, IPMI, SSH and HTTP. That mix is the reason it survives in MSP environments, where one client has switches that only speak SNMP, another has Windows boxes that want an agent, and a third needs cloud API checks.
The license is $0 and it scales to tens of thousands of monitored items on hardware you already own. Where it costs you is calendar time: templates, triggers, escalation chains and dashboards all need building, and the learning curve is steep enough that our Zabbix review is subtitled around exactly that trade. Plan for weeks, not days.
It monitors rather than manages. No patching, no remote control, no PSA. MSPs typically pair it with something that does endpoint work, which means two systems, two alert sources and a correlation problem you own.

3. NinjaOne
5,036 G2 reviews at 4.7 is the strongest evidence base on this list, and it's why NinjaOne's 4.00 average deserves more weight than the numbers above it. The Trustpilot score of 3.3 comes from 33 reviews on a company-wide profile, so it moves the average a long way on very little data.
The product earns the G2 score on interface and patching. Windows, macOS and Linux, a third-party app catalog of roughly 200 titles, approval workflows, maintenance windows and reporting that holds up in a compliance review. Techs pick it up fast, which shortens the training line in your TCO.
Pricing is where it gets interesting, because the community numbers undercut the published estimates. MSPs comparing their own invoices report about $1.30 per endpoint at 3,000 devices, and a second operator in that thread puts their shop under $1 per endpoint for RMM plus remote access. Both sit well below the $3 to $4 band that gets quoted publicly, so treat volume tiers as negotiable and read our NinjaOne pricing breakdown before you take a first offer. Annual contracts and a 60-day notice period are standard, and there's no native PSA.

4. Kaseya VSA
Kaseya VSA is the only platform here where G2 and Trustpilot nearly agree: 4.0 across 327 against 3.6 across 118. That 0.4 spread is the tightest in the table, and with 118 Trustpilot reviews it's also the most substantial commercial company-level score on the list.
The automation engine is genuinely deep, Live Connect is quick for techs who live in it, and the surrounding portfolio means one vendor can cover RMM, backup, documentation and security. That breadth is the pitch and it's a fair one.
The counterweight is contract structure. Multi-year terms, auto-renewal and portfolio bundling are the recurring themes in MSP discussion, and our Kaseya VSA review walks through what to negotiate before signing. If you're evaluating VSA, price the renewal rather than the first term. That's where the math changes.
5. Pandora FMS
Pandora FMS carries 4.6 on G2 across 217 reviews, which is a serious base, and 2.1 on Trustpilot across nine, which drags its average to 3.35. The community edition is free, the enterprise edition runs to about 1,800 euros a year, and the architecture handles large estates well.
Here's what the ranking can't show you. Search r/msp for Pandora FMS and you find it mentioned inside broader tooling threads rather than discussed on its own. For a tool with 217 G2 reviews, that's a thin peer-evidence trail in the specific community you'd want to ask before betting client infrastructure on it. Pandora FMS runs its own demo of the console:

Same structural caveat as Zabbix: it monitors, it doesn't manage endpoints. If you need patching and remote control, it's a layer, not an answer.
6. ConnectWise Automate
ConnectWise Automate scores 4.1 on G2 across 140 reviews and 2.2 on Trustpilot across 865. That Trustpilot base is the largest on this list and the score is the second lowest, which tells you something about the volume of people motivated enough to go and write about the company.
ConnectWise Automate earns its G2 score on depth. Its script library is the largest of the platforms here, Automate plugs straight into ConnectWise PSA for ticketing and billing, and ScreenConnect is a strong remote access tool in its own right. The cost of that depth is complexity and price opacity. Quotes run roughly $3 to $6 per endpoint per month, nothing is published, and the platform needs an owner inside your business who knows it. ConnectWise's own Automate overview shows what techs look at all day:

7. Datto RMM
4.5 on G2 across 797 reviews against 1.8 on Trustpilot across 15. That 2.7-point gap is the widest here, and the small Trustpilot base is doing a lot of the work, so weight the G2 column accordingly.
Datto RMM is strong where Datto has always been strong: the ComStore component library shortens automation work, and the BCDR integration means monitoring and recovery live in the same place. Post-acquisition, operational questions come up more than feature ones. This August 2026 thread on regional remediation is the current example, and it's the kind of thing to search before you sign a three-year term:
8. N-able N-central
N-central scores 4.4 on G2 across 563 reviews, a solid base, and 1.8 on Trustpilot across 15 on an unclaimed company profile. Average 3.10, last in the ranked field.
The product is mature and the multi-tenant model is built for MSPs from the ground up rather than adapted. Per-device pricing starts lower than most of this table, roughly $1 to $4, there's a capable mobile app, and automation policies scale across client hierarchies cleanly.
The thing to plan for is the deployment model. N-central is commonly run self-hosted, and that means N-able ships the fix but you ship the patch. CVEs in N-central have more than once reached the point of an MSP-wide emergency patching announcement, most recently in August 2026, and CISA flagged N-central flaws as exploited in the wild in August 2025. None of that makes the product a poor choice; it makes patching turnaround a capability you need to have before you pick it.

9. TacticalRMM
TacticalRMM has no G2 listing and no Trustpilot profile, it's an open-source product. It also has the most active MSP community of anything on this list, which is a decent illustration of what review aggregators miss.
It does the RMM job: agents on Windows, Linux and macOS, MeshCentral for remote control, scripting, alerting and site-based tenant separation. Self-hosted, so no per-endpoint license. A typical commercial deployment runs around $90 a month all-in, roughly $55 for a Tier 1 sponsorship plus about $35 for a capable VPS, which is $1,080 a year for an unlimited endpoint count. Against $3 per endpoint per month, that math flips in your favor somewhere around 30 endpoints.
The catch is the word "free", which is where the most-cited thread about it starts. The license has commercial tiers, you own the hosting, the security hardening and the upgrade path, and our Tactical RMM review prices the labor side of that.

What You'll Pay Over Three Years
License price is the number vendors quote and the smallest part of what an RMM costs you. Here's the same 100-endpoint MSP priced four ways, with the setup cost carried where it belongs.

The NinjaOne line uses the $1.30 per endpoint figure MSPs report at volume rather than the $3 to $4 public band, so read it as a negotiated floor rather than a first quote. TacticalRMM is the only column carrying a full implementation cost, which is why a platform with no license fee takes 34 months to catch one that charges $5,820 a year. Put a $15,000 migration line against any of the other three and their break-even moves the same way. Setup labor is the variable that decides these comparisons and the one no vendor quotes.
Three cost lines that never appear on a quote: implementation runs 4 to 8 weeks for commercial platforms and 8 to 12 for self-hosted; training runs 40 to 60 hours per tech commercially and 120 to 200 self-hosted; and integration is a built-in PSA connector on one side, custom API development on the other. Run a full stack audit before you switch and you'll see which of those you're already paying.

The pattern worth noticing: the commercial platforms have converged. Full multi-tenancy, REST APIs, advanced patching and mobile apps are table stakes in 2026, and picking between ConnectWise, Datto, N-able and Kaseya on features alone is close to a coin flip. Where they still separate is contract structure, what the PSA costs you, and whether the automation you build is portable if you leave.
How to Choose Without a Six-Month Evaluation
Start with endpoint count, because it decides the shape of the answer. Under 50 endpoints, per-endpoint licensing is cheap enough that self-hosting rarely pays back the setup labor. Between 50 and 500, flat or low per-device pricing wins on math and the question becomes which platform your techs will tolerate. Above 500, integration depth and contract terms matter more than the per-unit rate, and the negotiation is worth bringing a spreadsheet to.
Then price year three, not year one. Every quote-based vendor on this list prices the first term to win the deal, and the renewal is where margin goes. Ask for the uplift cap in writing before you sign, ask what happens to your scripts and automations if you leave, and ask whether the PSA is included or sold separately. Those three answers separate these platforms more than any feature grid.
Then check the community before the reference call. Vendor references are selected; r/msp is not. Every tool above has a thread that tells you what the second year feels like, and it takes ten minutes to read.
